S.B. 2769  RELATING TO REDUCING GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS      LRE
        Adds a new objective to the State's energy facility
        system planning objectives concerning the reduction of
        greenhouse gas emissions.

S.B. 2867  RELATING TO USED OIL                               LRE
        Clarifies public notice and hearing requirements for
        used oil permits.

S.B. 2870  RELATING TO SAFE DRINKING WATER                    LRE
        Modifies the definition of a "water treatment plant"
        to allow for a distinction between certification
        requirements for water treatment plant and
        distribution system operators.

S.B. 2674  RELATING TO GOVERNMENTAL EMPLOYEE ORGANIZATION     LRE
        MEETINGS HELD DURING STATE WORKING HOURS
        Prohibits public employee unions from using authorized
        working hour meetings for partisan political activity.

S.B. 2898  RELATING TO OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH         LRE
        The purpose of this bill is NOT to prevent disclosure,
        but rather to facilitate disclosure of records to the
        public while still protecting the rights of
        individuals to privacy; ensuring that workers have
        safe and healthful workplaces and preserving the
        mission of the division; and to preserve scarce state
        resources for protection of life and health.

 
 
        Clarifies when and what records may be disclosed to
        the public for civil cases.

S.B. 2899  RELATING TO BOILER AND ELEVATOR LAW                LRE
        Clarifies when and what records may be disclosed to
        the public including the availability of compliance
        inspectors and investigatory records for civil cases.

S.B. 2906  RELATING TO GARMENT INDUSTRY HOMEWORK              LRE
        Repeals obsolete provisions and eliminates unnecessary
        regulations.

        DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW, IF TIME PERMITS.

Persons wishing to testify should submit 30 copies (single sided,
stapled, without holes) of their testimony to the committee
clerk, Room 217, State Capitol, 24 hours prior to the hearing.
Testimony may also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to
the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659
(toll free for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the
hearing.  When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is
being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the
required number of copies needed for submittal.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services
to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for
the disabled), please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior
to the hearing so arrangements can be made.

Public Folder.  A folder labeled "Public Folder" containing the
measures and testimonies for the hearing will be available for
shared use by members of the public.
